Microsoft and Digg Sign 3 Year Ad Deal
According to reports released on Tuesday, Microsoft will replace Google as the sole advertising partner for Digg, a community content site very popular among web 2.0 users.
Digg.com, where users submit content to be read and commented on by other users, reports more than 17 million visitors per month. "This move gives us an advertising partner with a larger organization and a more scalable technology platform to keep pace with Digg’s growth " states Digg´s Kevin Rose.
This is the second social networking organization to sign with Microsoft as Facebook finalized an advertising deal with Microsoft in the summer of 2006.
Microsoft will begin posting subject related text ads on Digg.com within the next few weeks.
